PGY-1 Family Medicine Resident

The MultiCare Medical Center / Tacoma Program is currently recruiting for a PGY-1 Family Medicine resident.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have graduated from medical school within the last two years, or have completed a transitional year approved by the ACGME. Observerships do not qualify as clinical work experiences. Applicants not meeting this requirement are not considered and their applications are not processed.

Passing scores on USMLE or COMLEX step 1, 2 (both clinical skills and clinical knowledge)

For International Medical Graduates: in addition to the above mentioned requirements, examination and certification by the ECFMG. Please note, MultiCare is unable to sponsor Visas.

A Complete Application Consists of:

A personal statement, with a paragraph of applicant’s fit with the mission of Tacoma Family Medicine, and if applicable the reason for leaving your current residency program.

Curriculum vitae.

Two letters of recommendation.

Dean’s Letter (MSLE) from medical school.

USMLE or COMLEX transcripts.

Medical school transcript and diploma.

International Medical Graduates: ECFMG Certification.

Program Director summary letter that documents the level for each sub-competency in milestone format (if applicable).

Documentation of which PGY-1 rotations have been passed (if applicable).

In-Training exam results (if applicable).
