PGY 1- Preliminary Positions Available to start July 1, 2017

West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Surgery will have two available PGY-1 Preliminary Surgical Residency positions to start on July 1, 2017. Qualified applicants and applicants with previous residency experience in General Surgery an ACGME-accredited program are welcome to apply.

How To Apply

Interested applicants should submit the following documents: Recent ERAS application Curriculum Vitae Personal Statement Medical School Transcript Medical School Diploma USMLE Step Scores (I, II, III) (if applicable) Defined Category and Resident Operative Report to date from the ACGME Case log system (if applicable) (3) Letters of recommendation including one from current Chair or Program Director Annual competency-based Summative Evaluation(s) from Program(s) for PGY-1 year of training will be required prior to start of residency and certificate of completion (if applicable) ACGME Milestones Reports to date (if applicable). List of rotations for all residency years (if applicable BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certificates US Citizens or J1 visa only Valid ECFMG certificate Qualified applicants should email the required documentation above a pdf format to jscardinal@hsc.wvu.edu .
